Most of our members were new to Brazilian Jiujitsu. They had the same concerns as you. The only difference is that they decided to take control of their life and step on the mats and attend a couple classes. Most of our members has lost tremendous amount of weight and are now living a healthy life style while learning how to defend themselves in a self-defense situation. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that you are safe & that you can keep your family safe. Brazilian Jiujitsu is highly effective for self-defense situations. It teaches how to control an individual without severely hurting them. ( But, you could if you really want to.) I guess what we mean is; you have the option of gaining control of your attacker and giving them the choice to surrender by applying chokes or joint-locks. Not only you're learning all those techniques, but you're learning them in a safe, fun & respectful environment while getting an amazing workout and getting back or staying in good shape!

Because there are so few women in jiu-jitsu, the closeness that forms between jiujiteiras is even stronger than most friendships that are created in the gym. It’s rare to find women who are into what is unarguably a very masculine sport, and there’s something about the struggles of being female in a sea of testosterone that tends to bring women together.
It’s not just the ladies in your own gym that will grow to be your sisters, either. You’ll form an instant connection with female BJJ practitioners from other gyms and even the ones you compete against in tournaments.

Great for anyone who wants to get in shape and learn an excellent grappling system witch is BJJ. Coach Steve is a good instructor for any skill level and the school is a good place to meet new people. I highly suggest anyone who wants to get in shape to try this.

Do I need any experience to train Brazilian Jiujitsu?
No We have beginners classes available and most people that are training with us did not have martial arts experience before. Our instructors and fellow members will always be there to help you.
What if I have injuries? Can I still train Brazilian Jiujitsu?
Yes you may. It's always better to speak with our instructors prior to training. We have members that are injured or had an injury before and we have adapted their training in order for them to perform. Speak with the instructors prior to classes & you can also consult your Doctor.
I am SO out of shape,is it better for me to wait until I get back in shape before joining?
We get asked that one a lot. The answer is no. The reason why you are joining us is to loose weight & get in better physical shape. We will get you there.Trust us. All you need to do is the first step, and show up for class!
Will Brazilian Jiujitsu help me loose weight?
Absolutaly! Brazilian Jiujitsu is filled with training and techniques! At the end of every class we do 15-30 minutes controlled sparring where you can test your techniques. Your cardio will go through the roof and you will get the workout you needed!
Does Brazilian Jiujitsu teach me self-defense?
What if people laugh at me? I have never done this before.
